Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore

Sri Mariamman Temple is one of Singapore’s oldest hindu temple. It is built in Dravidian style. It is located at 244 South Bridge Road , in the Downtown Chinatown district. It serves mainly Hindu Singaporeans in the city-state. Sri Mariamman Temple has been gazetted a National Monument and is a major tourist attraction due to its architectural and historical significance. Is managed by the Hindu Endowments Board, a statutory board under the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports. It is founded in 1827 by  Naraina Pillai, a government clerk from Penang who arrived in Singapore with Sir Stamford Raffles on his second visit to the island in May 1819.

Our experience ;
It was a very fun and amazing experience going  there . You can see a lot of statues that most of us don't know about , we could not find what is the meaning of each statues but is sure very interesting to know. We had to pay $3 to take photos and $6 to record . So people get  ready your cameras and money when you get there ^^
